Artificial intelligence, which is widely used in today's technology world, means the intelligence possessed by a machine that is almost equal to that of humans. Any device that can make decisions in the appropriate environment and maximize its efficiency is called artificial intelligence. The simple phone we use every day can control functions such as alarms, music, phone calls, messaging.This is because it involves AI. The basic idea of AI is based on manually designed algorithms. These algorithms make machines want to work according to the environment or situation. The logic behind the algorithm depends on the simple conditions called "IF-THEN"
Artificial intelligence can be possessed by even the simplest of the machines. The calculator that is used in various areas in build on simple algorithms which in turn makes up artificial intelligence. The numbers entered through the keys are processed in the motherboard of the device and then the results are displayed on the screens.
Then there are other days today household appliances which have smoothened our life for two decades now. We just need to look around. That coffee machine sitting on your kitchen counter? That refrigerator which keeps your food fresh and healthy? That television you watch while having popcorn with your family? Every machine around you based on artificial intelligence.
Not just these small devices have gotten the privilege, but artificial intelligence has possessed even the heaviest of engines and the biggest of computers. The airplane that is considered to be the most convenient transport of all, is run by artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence has spread widely over the last two decades. By 2050, we can predict that robots and machines will play a much important role in our lives. Even now they have become like a fifth limb to us. It is fine that they are providing us the services that save our time and energy but over dependency can really be dangerous down the road. The utmost power should stay with human beings just like it has been the case till now otherwise it can lead to some really drastic turn of events!
